F4energy have been awarded the prestigious contract for supplying a CHP System to the NUIG New Engineering Building in Galway. Sized at 330kWe this 12 Cylinder turbo charges Mercedes Packaged Engine will supply 496kW thermal hot water to the building as well as electricity.
The commissioning date for this turnkey project planned for July 2011. As well as supplying heat and power the CHP will also act as a backup generator in case of power failure in the complex. NUI Galway is constantly expanding it services on campus and this requires large quantities of power. CHP plays an important role in supplying the Colleges long term growing energy requirements.
